Zanthuri are one of the more intelligent animals on planet Scyllbis. They live in communities on the plains of Scyllbis, use tools, and create adornments for themselves. They speak in a wide range of shrills, whistles, beak clackings, and grunts. There are often older, stronger, larger, or smarter Zanthuri that will lead a clan. They feed on stream fish, the large insects that populate the world, nuts, berries, and roots.
